This is the second lot of videos of the White-plumed Honeyeater chicks being fed, from very young when their eyes weren't yet opened, to later when the parent takes away the droppings from the nest.

Hope you enjoy the videos.

We were lucky enough to have a White-plumed Honeyeater nest in our backyard recently. Over a period of time I took videos. This is one of the videos I took showing the parent coming in to feed the chicks.

Sand Goanna and the cicada

We were at some friends place to play some tennis. While I was there, I saw this Sand Goanna wander through the bushes and then come under the pool fence with a cicada. I then watched it walk across the back verandah until it finally found a nice place behind a pot plant. Hope you enjoy the movie.

Video of Arafura Fantail pair building a nest

My brother, Dad and I saw these Arafura Fantails at Mamukala Wetlands in Kakadu NP building a nest. We sat and waited for them to come back to their nest for quite some time. This is the best video I took. I hope you like it.

Video of Red-collared Rainbow Lorikeets at Batchelor - beautiful colours, lovely steady video

At the caravan park we are staying at, the manager feeds the Galahs and Little Corellas each morning and afternoon. Sometimes, the Red-collared Rainbow Lorikeets come too. Yesterday afternoon they were flying around but didn't come to feed. This morning though, I waited for nearly two hours. Below is a Youtube video of some of the best videos I have ever taken of birds. I think you will agree after watching, these birds really are stunning. I hope you enjoy the video.

Video of Owlet-Nightjar during the day

My brother, dad and I are on a trip to Darwin, Litchfield, Mary River/Kakadu and spent the first night at Lake Woods, near Elliott. After we woke up in the morning, dad packed up our van while my brother and I went bird-watching, he went one way and I went another. I was taking a video of some pelicans when I noticed a Wedge-tailed Eagle. It flew over some trees and I went to follow it. I was in the trees when this thing brushed my shoulder and sat on a branch about 5 steps away from me. It turned out to be a little Owlet-Nightjar, a lifer for me. I hope you enjoy the video.

Black Kite in the back yard with a Crow chasing it off a branch

Yesterday, dad and I went out to the park through the back fence and watched a lot of Black Kites and a few Whistling Kites circling around our place and the park. In this video, a Black Kite swoops in and perches on a branch, has a bit of a look around, and then is chased off by a Little Crow. I hope you enjoy the video.

Cockatiels drinking at Redbank Waterhole on Owen Springs Station

I went with Dad down to Owen Springs Station. We had to get up really early and left home before 5 o'clock n the morning. We got to Redbank Waterhole just before the sunrise. We were hoping to see lots of budgies come to drink. Dad took a photo of me when I was trying to take videos of Zebra Finches:

The budgies were everywhere I reckon about 5000, dad thought more like 2-3000, but they wouldn't come down to drink. We moved up the waterhole a bit and the Cockatiels did come down to drink. Here are two videos I took:
